About the Site
After much deliberation, I dropped the fansite and returned to much-afraid.com with a personal website – a fan journal, of sorts – and gave it a numerical name that I thought was less likely for me to outgrow. And thus, on July 1st, 2002, 0260 was born.
More server issues forced me to leave much-afraid.com, but in 2004, 0260 quickly found a home when Nicole kindly took me in at spiritual-intoxication.net.
Then, in 2006, our family friend Nilsson helped me realized my dreams of owning my own domain when he bought me bleed-blue.net – a name I chose to describe my avid fanaticism in my hometown hockey team, the Toronto Maple Leafs.
0260 is currently hosted at X-Change Data Solutions and is best viewed with Mozilla Firefox and a 1280×1024 screen resolution. But anything, really, is fine.
0260: The Name
And I knew I’d be too lazy to come up with another name ten years down the road. So to avoid outgrowing another set of words, I opted for numbers:
1. The year 2002 was my most memorable year: Team Canada just won double gold in Salt Lake City at the 2002 Winter Olympics for Ice Hockey; the Maple Leafs had an amazing playoff run; Jose Theodore won two of the most prestigious NHL Awards that year; the X Games were unforgettable; and my grade school friends and I were at our closest.2. My birthdate in numerical form: 02/06
4. Favourite hockey player (Jose Theodore)’s number: 60
Combining those three significant factors, I came up with 0260.
